Our Story
We’re made by two Mothers
We (Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik) felt that as parents we were really short of options to feed our children. It just felt like we had to do something to make things better. We also wanted to start a business which could be a force for good. What we were actually looking for was yummy and truly healthy food options for our own children. Both of us realized that parents of other young children felt the same lack of options they could trust with their eyes closed.
We noticed that many of the answers lay in our own grandmothers' kitchens. And so, we decided to follow our heart. We dug into ingredients like Millets from our childhood. But we decided we had to make them tasty.
What followed was a whirlwind of childhood memories. “My mum used to force a Ragi drink down my throat, I wish we could come up with a yummy way to eat Ragi”.
Our first product was a Chocolate Ragi Cookie, made by a childhood friend who is the most incredible baker. It is yummy!
And thus, Slurrp Farm was born in October 2016, to provide healthy, tasty, and natural food for children.
And in just over three years, what started as an experiment in our own home kitchens has now turned into a loved kids food brand; available serving its first 500,000 customers. We sell across several leading online platforms and our products are available in stores in India, the UAE and the UK.
And every year along the way, we want to be better than we were the year before, and always innovating to have the best products possible.
About the founders
Meghana Narayan
I am passionate about children’s nutrition and health and am keen to make a dent on India’s appalling malnutrition statistics. My incessant effort to feed my daughter healthy food by making it taste great has actually led me to start my venture. Prior to starting Slurrp Farm, I was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in Delhi where I led the public health practice. I hold an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BA in Computation as a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University and a BE with Distinction in Computer Science Engineering from Bangalore University.
I was a national level swimmer for India for many years and have won over 400 gold medals including at the Asian Games. I sincerely hope that better nutrition for India’s children will result in more golden Olympic medals!
Shauravi Malik

I was an Investment Manager at Sir Richard Branson’s Group Holding entity at the Virgin Group in London. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from Cambridge University and a BA in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
My most memorable years were the fourteen that I spent at my school Sardar Patel Vidyalaya which followed a no junk food philosophy way back in the good old 1980s!
